Officially Recognized as a Craftsperson by the Belgian Government

I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ve been officially recognized as a craftsperson by the FOD Economie of the Belgian government.

This recognition means a lot to me. It’s not just a formal title, but an acknowledgment of the care, time, and passion I put into every piece I create. My work has always been guided by craftsmanship: the love of materials, the precision of process, and the belief that art is something deeply human and handmade.

What This Recognition Means

Being legally recognized as an artisan under Belgian law is a sign of authenticity. It confirms that what I do is rooted in manual skill, creativity, and integrity, that my art is not industrial or mass-produced, but made with attention and heart.

For collectors, clients, and collaborators, it’s also a guarantee: what comes out of my studio is genuine, sustainable, and made by hand.

A Moment of Gratitude

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported my journey, from the people who’ve believed in my work and commissioned projects, to fellow artists who’ve inspired me along the way.
This recognition isn’t an endpoint; it’s a new chapter. It encourages me to keep exploring, to refine my craft, and to share what I’ve learned with others.

About the Recognition

In Belgium, the title of recognized craftsperson (erkend ambachtsman) is awarded by the FOD Economie after a careful review by the Commission for Crafts.
It’s granted only to creators whose work is authentic, manual, and artistic in nature, people who continue to value tradition while innovating through their own creative vision.
